A Touch of Flax History
Flax has a long and rich history. Remnants of flax have been found in ancient Stone Age dwellings in Switzerland. During ancient Egyptian civilization 5000 years before Christ, fine linens made of flax fibers were discovered. Later, flax spread westward through North America and Canada during the 19th century.
Who We Are
We are an Egyptian company that cultivates flax and transforms it into fibers. We pay meticulous attention to every detail to obtain the highest quality and purity of fibers, a tradition passed down from our founders. The company was established in 2001 under the name Egypt and exported its first shipment to China that same year. We changed our company name to Royal Flax in 2024.
